An architecture of restraint

Conceived as a sequence of horizontal planes, the residence dissolves the line between interior and shoreline. Floor-to-ceiling glass retracts into the walls, so that the principal salon and the terrace become a single room beneath the sky.

The finest houses are not those that announce themselves, but those that know when to fall silent.

Interiors are appointed in a restrained palette — pale stone, oak, bronze and unbleached linen — allowing the changing light of the bay to do the decorating. Every surface was selected for how it ages: this is a house built to be lived in for generations.
